Our goal is to help each member achieve their goals. The Hudson County Chamber of Commerce is here to help, especially when you need to seek assistance with governmental or public agencies. If you have a policy issue that needs to be addressed, please email president@hudsonchamber.org with all of the details.
Our decision making process is outlined below.

  • The Government Relations Committee is a standing committee of the Board of Directors
    as established in its bylaws.
  • The Board Chair appoints a Committee Chair and Directors to serve as members.
  • The Committee Chair shall establish regular meeting schedules in conjunction with the

  • From time to time, other advocacy needs may arise on behalf of the business
community or the Chamber’s membership that are not established priorities.
  • The Chamber President and CEO shall vet these opportunities, including input from
other members, subject matter experts, relevant officials, and industry representatives,
for Committee review and potential action.
  • The Committee Chair shall review any proposals before they are distributed to the
    Committee for approval.

Project Approval

  • The Committee shall select or endorse projects based on their strategic alignment with
the Chamber’s mission, vision and values, the potential impact, and feasibility.
  • The President and CEO shall circulate projects for Committee action with a clear
description, statement of need, objectives, recommendation, and desired outcomes.
  • The Committee may act between meetings by email.
