The Hudson County Chamber of Commerce hosts a variety of networks and programs that help grow the region’s economy and provide invaluable resources for local businesses and nonprofits. Chamber programs are designed to be both networking and educational opportunities to support B2B Opportunities, visibility and advocacy. Since 1888, the Hudson Chamber’s Annual Business Meeting has been one of its largest gatherings of executives, elected officials, business owners and civic leaders. Each year, we convene the business community to provide an inside look at the accomplishments of the Chamber and our members over the past year, as well as our vision for the future. This meeting includes a B2B Expo, lunch, keynote speaker and program of interest to the entire business and nonprofit community in addition to the election of officers and annual reports.
Chamber Tuesdays are the day for working professionals from all segments and sectors to connect, form valuable relationships and generate business opportunites. This monthly, evening business connector brings together business leaders from all sectors and segments. This relaxed networking environment is typically hosted by a Chamber member, providing an opportunity for our members to introduce their organization to the community, while offering valuable insights into our overall business community. Our HOLA New Jersey Conference and B2B Expo celebrates the growth and excellence within the Latinx/Hispanic business community. Hudson Gives is our annual 24-hour giving day benefitting our nonprofit Chamber members. This virtual fundraising campaign and competition unites our community in support of local causes. By giving local, we can lift all of our neighbors and strengthen our nonprofits. Giving days are held the second Thursday of May. Corporate, foundation and individual sponsors enable us to create prize pools and other incentives. Supporting it is a good way to secure philanthropic visibility and support the entire Hudson Chamber nonprofit community. Legends Gala is one of the Hudson Chamber's signature networking events, celebrating the legendary people whose life's work has transformed our great county. Since 1888, the Hudson Chamber has been serving the needs of our dynamic and diverse business community. Each December, we come together to build a stronger, more vibrant Hudson County. Typically held on the second Thursday of December, Legends is a festive evening of networking, food and drink with the movers and shakers of our local community.
One our signature networking events, the Liberty CEO Cup golf outing provides an exhilarating experience to meet the movers and shakers from the Hudson Chamber and greater Hudson County region. Establishing strong connections and building relationships is paramount for success in the world of business. Golf offers leisure and recreation and is also a potent tool for networking and fostering business relationships. This annual event includes prizes plus swag bags for all participants and attracts one of our highest level audiences.
Our quarterly orientation programming is designed to help our newest members become acquainted with the Chamber staff, learn how to use the Member Information Center, learn more about the benefits of membership and meet other new members and Chamber Ambassadors. So, You Think You Can Golf Outing & Clinic offers a unique opportunity for female and male participants to enhance their golf skills while networking with fellow businesswomen and businessmen. A program of Women of Commerce, participants can expect expert instruction from a golf pro, tailored to all skill levels from beginners to advanced players. The clinic provides a supportive and inclusive environment for participants to learn and improve their golf game. Following the clinic, attendees can enjoy a relaxed 9-hole outing, where they can put their newfound skills to the test and continue networking. This monthly networking and referral meeting is designed for small businesses and entrepreneurs, and for other businesses seeking to do business with them. If you've been wanting a venue to grow your referral and resource network and your business, The Breakfast Club is for you! The Breakfast Club is a program of our Small Business Network. Gatherings are open to Chamber members and future members. Breakfasts provide an opportunity to introduce yourself and your business, help each other to make referrals, grow professionally and learn from event sponsors and relevant speakers. In keeping with our mission to be the leading resource for driving economic growth, the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce partners with the Frank J. Guarini School of Business at Saint Peter's University to bring a unique opportunity to our Members as well as undergraduate students at Saint Peter's. Since 2013, this collaborative effort has helped Chamber members who have a need or desire to engage in a planning project for their business. Members are paired with their own pro-bono team of consultants. Chamber Members represent the “Town” and SPU students the “Gown” in this partnership.
Consultants include small teams of Saint Peter's advanced business students and their professors. The following types of projects include business planning, marketing, social media, strategy and competitive analysis study.
Eligible organizations must be members in good standing of the Hudson County or Hoboken Chamber of Commerce. Members who want to take their businesses to the next level and who can benefit from the added resources of a student-consultant team are encouraged to participate. Prior year Town & Gown participants are also eligible to apply again with a new project. Since its inception, more than 40 Chamber members have benefited from the program.
